Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Far from the Sun Summer 2014 Collection

*Press Sample*

Hey y'all!  Today I have some indies to share.  If you don't know Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer, where have you been?  Julie is an attorney, turned blogger, turned indie polish maker.  She's also a resident of the most awesome state.....GA.  When she recently contacted me about reviewing some of her new summer polishes, I was all sorts of geeking out.  I think my reply to her was "YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES  *DANCES AROUND*  Can you tell I'm excited?"

I have 5 of the 8 polishes to share & will have more info below.  All of these swatches are 2 coats...I found that most of these could actually be one coaters if you don't go as thin as I did.

Chlorine Light - Bright blue linear holographic with rainbow micro-flakies with a slight metallic finish.  I grabbed DS Glamour to compare and immediately noticed that this is much more blue and way brighter than Glamour is.

If You're A Seascape - Coral linear holographic with pink to gold shift.  To the naked eye, this looks more pink than coral....but I can see the coral too, it's like a pinky coral rather than an orangey one.

Intersecting Lines in the Sand - Yellow-gold linear holographic with a blue to purple to pink shift.  In the bottle, and under my desk lamp, this looked more mustard green/gold, but under my OTT light and in these pictures it's more gold.

Ocean Warmed by the Sun - Teal linear holographic with a strong sea green flash and a purple to pink/red shift.  I saw this more as like a medium sky blue holo with a purple shimmer.  Either way, it's beautiful.

Sail Her Don't Sink Her - Pink, purple, red, gold, and orange microglitter in a clear base.  Dries with a textured finish.  As you can see in the pictures above, without topcoat, that this is PACKED full of these glitters.  It's SO PURDY!  Below, I applied a coat of Seche....though it probably could've used 2.

These all applied rather easily and dried pretty darn fast.  Even the holo's.  I had zero issues.  I did photograph these in a light tent, because the darn sun wouldn't come out from behind the clouds, and you can still see the holo.  I'll have some video's of these on Instagram later.

The collection will be available starting July 20, 2014 at 3:30 pm edt.  The linear holographics will be $12, the micro glitter will be $8.50, and the full set of 8 polishes will be $98, which includes DOMESTIC priority shipping.  This will be the first run of these polishes and will only come back at a later date depending on popularity.
