China Glaze Tranzitions

Today I have 3 of the China Glaze Tranzitions polishes to show y'all.  I'm having a problem focusing on one thing at a time, or I would have had these up sooner.

I want to go ahead and tell you right off that these will work with any top coat.  Though, the China Glaze Fast Forward top coat is a great one to use & I'm almost done with my first bottle.  I also want to warn you to let the polish dry before you apply a top coat, so it doesn't smear or transfer color onto your topcoat brush.

Warnings out of the way, onto the color!

Split Perso-nail-ity - 1 coat.  A dusty rose pink that shifts to a dusty fuchsia when top coat is applied.  It does have a subtle shimmer to it without top coat, but with topcoat it looks almost watercolor-ish.

Duplicityy - 1 coat.  A minty green with slight shimmer that transforms to a watery teal with top coat.

Shape Shifter - 1 coat.  A smokey charcoal metallic violet that shifts to a dark blue-ish purple.  This is totally my favorite of the three.

Surprisingly these didn't take long to dry.  As I stated at the beginning of this post, you do want to wait for it to try before applying a top coat(if you want it) as I did have some transfer onto my brush.  I tried to do a sponging gradient and didn't allow it to fully dry and the top coat just bled everything together into one hot mess.

If you're using any of the lighter shades, I'd suggest either doing a couple of coats or using a ridge filler.  You can see that my ridges showed up around the base of my nail.

I actually liked these better than I thought I would & since they're so thick I wonder how well they will stamp.  Has anyone tried that yet?

~ Note: These polishes were sent to review for my 100% honest opinion.

  1. Not liking the grey/dark much but the other two look really good on you! I like them better left alone!
